This Privacy Policy explains how Qoovest collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile app, website, and web trading platform at trade.qoovest.com.

Who we are

Qoovest is a registered Sub-Broker with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Nigeria. Our office is at Floor 10, Tower 2, PC 30 Churchgate St, Victoria Island, Lagos.

When this policy says “Qoovest”, “we”, “us”, or “our”, it means the Qoovest entity that provides the investing products and services you use.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us, information created when you use Qoovest, and information we need to meet Nigerian regulatory requirements.

  • Identity and KYC details: full name, date of birth, email, phone number, residential address, BVN, NIN, and government-issued ID.
  • Account and trading data: wallet balances, orders, holdings, deposits, withdrawals, and portfolio activity.
  • Device and usage data: device type, app or browser version, IP address, and how you navigate the app or web platform.
  • Support communications: messages you send to info@qoovest.com or through in-product support channels.

How we use your information

We use personal information only where it is needed to run the service, protect accounts, and comply with the law.

  • Create and verify your Qoovest account, including BVN and NIN checks.
  • Execute buy and sell orders for NGX-listed securities and keep accurate records of ownership.
  • Hold your securities in your name through the Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS).
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, gifts, and auto-invest instructions.
  • Detect fraud, secure the platform, and meet SEC, AML, and other regulatory obligations.
  • Send service notices, security alerts, and (where you opt in) product updates.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only when required to provide the service or comply with law.

  • Regulated market infrastructure such as CSCS and exchange-related counterparties needed to settle trades.
  • Identity, banking, and payments partners who help us verify customers and move funds.
  • Service providers who host, secure, or support the platform under confidentiality obligations.
  • Regulators, courts, or law-enforcement agencies when Nigerian law requires disclosure.

Custody and financial data

Your securities are held securely in your name through CSCS, with clear ownership and segregation from Qoovest’s own assets. Transaction records are retained as required for brokerage and regulatory record-keeping.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No system is perfectly secure; please protect your login credentials and tell us immediately if you suspect account compromise.

Data retention

We keep personal and trading records for as long as your account is active and for the period required by Nigerian securities, tax, and anti-money-laundering rules after an account is closed or inactive.

Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information where Nigerian law allows. Some records cannot be deleted while we still need them for custody, settlement, audit, or regulatory purposes.

You can update profile details in the app or web platform, and you can opt out of non-essential marketing messages at any time.

Children

Qoovest is intended for adults who can open a brokerage account under Nigerian law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for investment accounts.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page will change when we do. Continued use of Qoovest after an update means you accept the revised policy.
