Terms of Use

Last updated 14 October 2026

These Terms of Use govern your access to Qoovest’s website, mobile application, and web trading platform at trade.qoovest.com. By creating an account or using Qoovest, you agree to these terms.

About Qoovest

Qoovest is a registered Sub-Broker with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Nigeria. We provide technology and brokerage services that let eligible customers buy and sell whole shares listed on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX).

These terms apply whether you use Qoovest on mobile or on the web. The product is the same: live market prices, whole-share ownership, and securities held in your name through CSCS.

Eligibility

You must be legally able to open a securities account in Nigeria, complete our KYC process (including BVN, NIN, and valid ID), and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your contact details and verification documents up to date.

Your account

You are responsible for activity carried out with your login credentials. Do not share passwords, OTP codes, or device access with anyone. Tell us immediately at info@qoovest.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

We may suspend or restrict an account where we detect fraud risk, incomplete verification, regulatory concerns, or a breach of these terms.

Investing and orders

Qoovest buys and sells whole shares at the live market price available when your order is executed. We do not offer fractional shares. Minimum investment is generally the price of one share of the security you choose.

Orders are subject to market hours, liquidity, exchange rules, and system availability. A submitted order is not a guarantee of fill at a specific price or time.

Transaction fees are shown before you confirm a trade and are charged in line with NGX and applicable regulatory fee schedules. There are no hidden account-maintenance fees described elsewhere as “zero fees” — the fee you see at confirmation is what applies to that trade.

Custody

Securities you buy through Qoovest are intended to be registered in your name and held through the Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS), segregated from Qoovest’s own assets. Cash in your Qoovest wallet is used to fund trades and withdrawals according to the product’s funding rules.

Risk disclosure

Investing in stocks involves risk. Share prices can fall as well as rise, and you may lose some or all of the money you invest. Past performance is not a reliable guide to future results.

Content on Qoovest — including learn articles, demos, news helpers, and product copy — is educational and operational, not personalised investment advice. You decide which securities to buy or sell.

Demo mode and gifting

Demo or practice features use market-like data without real money. Demo results do not predict live trading outcomes.

Stock gifting, where available, transfers or arranges real share ownership subject to claim, KYC, and settlement rules shown in the product at the time of the gift.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Qoovest, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with trading systems, provide false identity information, or use the platform for illegal activity, market abuse, or money laundering.

Intellectual property

Qoovest’s name, logos, app, website, and software are owned by Qoovest or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive right to use the service for personal investing. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or resell the platform except as allowed by law.

Availability and changes

We aim for reliable access but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Markets, partner systems, maintenance, or force majeure events may delay or prevent trading.

We may update features, fees (with disclosure at the point of trade), or these terms. Material updates to the terms will be reflected by the “Last updated” date on this page.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, Qoovest is not liable for investment losses arising from market movements, for delays caused by exchanges or settlement systems outside our reasonable control, or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or death/personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes will be handled under Nigerian courts or such dispute-resolution process as SEC rules or our customer agreements require.
